The wildlife area is located between "Su Campu de Bidiculai", "Punta Or Mufrones" and "Punta su Crabargiu" in the area of "Sa Portiscra" in the Supramonte of Urzulei, easily accessible and indicated by the SS 125, at north of the town of Baunei at the direction of Dorgali. The natural aspects of the territory are still well preserved, there are important wrecks of secular forest of majestic oak, juniper, rare wild orchid, peony and several endemic; looking from these beautiful slopes we could see with all the birds also the Sardinian Astore and the majestic Real Eagle. 
The muflone (which is a kind of wild goat,) wild boars, wild cats, marten and foxes stay gladly in this area. This location was chosen as a site for the reintroduction of the Sardinian Deer of the Supramonte, after its extinction occurred in the early 1900 century. Inside of approximately 10 hectares have been included 10 couples of Cervus Elaphus Corsicanus (given by the Forestry authority of Sardinia ). These can be observed from the outside of their fenced oasis, where guides can give you information about their reintroduction and they can respond to various curiosity.
Nearby you can visit the nuragico village called "Or Murales" which, with more than 100 huts in a good state of preservation is a between the greatest and spectacular in Sardinia . It is an ancient nuragico village, where they found several pieces of clay , situated on a small hill where, on his feet, run small water streams. The whole area is "framed" by breathtaking landscapes where we can see the beautiful Gola of Gorropu with its great walls of nearly 500 m, limestone chain that dominates the Monte Oseli "Codula di Luna" until you reach the Gulf of Orosei .
Inside the area there are ancient sheepfolds (which in Sardinian dialect are called "pinnetu" or "barracu"), built with stone and juniper.
